Mini Farmer
Specifically aimed at the under 12’s year group. Encounters involve lots of hands-on fun from collecting eggs to grooming a donkey, walking a goat and feeding the pigs. If someone you know would like to be a Mini-Farmer or may simply enjoy spending time cuddling our smaller animals; ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs or even a goat, we can tailor an experience to suit. This is also a great opportunity to show your animal loving child the day-to-day needs of what’s involved with the upkeep and care of becoming an animal owner.
Alpaca Walking
Walking and talking is a proven source of health and wellbeing. Our weekly Walk & Talk activities support gentle exercise and social interaction. An easy light walk around the fields surrounding the farm with a group of the animals: goats, donkeys, alpacas or sheep, all of whom love a wander and the attention. Then it’s back to the yard for refreshments and a chat. A wonderful way to meet new friends, escape solitude or simply enjoy the fresh air and exercise. No one returns without a smile on their face!
Animal Encounters
Animal encounters offer an opportunity to spend a couple of hours at the farm, meeting the animals and then spending dedicated time with the animal of your choice. Depending on the type of animal you pick, you may be involved with feeding, grooming and (if possible), taking them for a walk. There will be the opportunity for lots of selfies with the animals and finishing with a hot drink and chat (maybe a piece of cake too!). The whole experience is likely to take around two hours.
