Open Hearts, Unlock Minds and Inspire People

Events

From Animal tea parties through to Volunteer days, Family Farm Tours and Open Days for you all to come and visit us, we love an event as much as our animals do. We will keep you all updated with any new events on this page.

Alpaca Walks

We arrange weekly walks with Bucks Mind to meet our friendly team of Alpacas with community buses collecting from agreed locations which have kindly been paid for by our supporters.

Getting out into the fresh air, making new friends and taking a little exercise in beautiful countryside is a wonderful boost to your mental well-being. So, if you are feeling isolated, are new to the area, have recently lost your long term loved-one then a new experience is one step forward for you.

All bookings need to be made on-line with limited numbers on the community bus or simply book to take part and make your own way to us. We are unable to accommodate without booking first.

Once at the farm you will be introduced to our alpacas and then head out across the tracks and fields with them. We will be walking for about an hour around the farm and then back to the yard for a well-earned  tea or coffee. Please wear suitable footwear and outer wear for all weathers. Those who booked for a community bus pick up will then be returned to your arranged meeting point.

Childminder SEND Farm Visits

Launching in September 2024 – New FREE visits for registered childminders looking after SEND children.

Come to our fabulous farm in North Marston and meet our animals, learn fun facts and cuddle with our small animals, including guinea pigs and rabbits.

You may even get to help us with feeding or collecting eggs!

An ideal outing for children who struggle in busy environments or who need a bit more support.

The only other people at the farm will be our staff and students. Your guide will ensure you have space to enjoy your time with us.

The sessions are part of the support programme for our final year students, who will assist our team members during your visit. The students will gain valuable work experience, life skills and will be able to practice their communication skills.

Sessions will run on Monday mornings and must be booked in advance to ensure your visit feels really special.

To ensure that everyone has a chance to take up this offer, we will not allow consecutive week bookings or more than one booking per childminder per half-term.
