Volunteering
Volunteering is beneficial in so many ways, it can help boost and build self-confidence, increase self-esteem and satisfaction in a job well done. Not only are you contributing to the community and doing good for others, but you will also make new friends, use current skills and perhaps learn new skills. All of which provides a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
We are a busy farm environment with a multitude of tasks that always need extra pairs of willing hands. The activities our volunteers are typically involved in include supporting our learners or members with gardening, tree planting, craft making, woodworking, alpaca walking, and animal care.
If you are over 18 and feeling isolated, are new to the area, recently retired, feeling empty-nested, or have regular time that you would like to fill each week, then volunteering could be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for you.
Why not come along and find out more? Have a chat with some of our current volunteers and gain an idea of what’s involved.
Please note that as our volunteers support our learners, we are unable to accommodate volunteering as part of a Supported Internship from an external organisation.
Animal Antiks runs its own Supported Internship Programme, which may be suitable for you. Click here for details about our Supported Internships
